Had a really fab breakfast here, generous helpings, good value for money. Extensive menu for eat in or take out food. Can highly recommend it. This isnt the big posh restaurant near the church, a smaller, more intimate place opposite the Lakeside Park .
Been only once..
This establishment is a five minute walk away from where I live. Passed it the other day on foot while walking the dog, we were taking the riverside walk down by Sawley Marina eventually ending up at the two pubs at Trent Lock. On passing I couldn’t help but notice how grubby the place is looking. It really does need a fresh coat of white stone emulsion… I have only been for a meal once, paid for by my daughter several years ago now and was very satisfied with what we had, I believe it was a dinner time special menu, two courses for a tenner, I believe they still do have that special on. Bip

A very good restaurant
The White House hotel offers excellent modern British food, with a la carte and a table dhote menu which offers very good value for three courses. Its a popular place for birthdays, anniversaries and other family get-togethers. The interior is modern but it is quite a traditional, restaurant and pleases the young and old alike and is equally popular with couples and groups. Never had a bad meal here, service is excellent too, with very friendly staff. Its in a picturesque part of old Sawley, within walking distance of several good real ale pubs so although it might seem a bit off the beaten track, you can make a night of it. I dont think it is a hotel any more as the upstairs is now a bar/lounge area.
