Perfect fit

This store is better than anything the big retailers provide, the materials are of a higher standard and the suits are a much better fit, very happy with my purchase.

The best store ever.............

Just been into Fitzwells and they have a massive sale on ! All sale items now with 60% off original price. Got myself some right bargains don,t miss out pay them a visit. The staff are great and very helpful too.

New job new suit :)

I recently got a new job, so to look the part , I treated myself to an amazing suit, very happy with the level of service, although im not looking for a new job ill definitely treat myself again.

Brilliant shop, brilliant staff!

There are very few other shops that Ive been into that offer the same attention to detail as does the lovely staff at Fitzwell in Barnstaple. From helpful, qualified advice to friendliness and quality products, you find it all there. I really value the shopping experience there and I would go back every single time I need a suit or something along those lines and thats not just buying but also very good deals when it comes to renting. I first got married wearing a suit hired from them, I then bought another shirts and hired another suit for the religious ceremony back in Romania, and only 3 months ago I bought another 2 suits for my sisters wedding , so Im not just someone that bumped into the shop once. Every single time Ive been very impressed with the courtesy of the ladies that lokked after me, every single time Ive been given the same care and attention as the first time and if they would do casual and sportswear as well, it would probably be the 9 Barnstaple , High Street , the only place I would ever shop.....saying that, though, its got the glamour of a place that sells classic clothing and does it very well! Brilliant shop, brilliant staff!

I was very impressed with the Fitzwell on every occasion. First, I rented out the suit for my wedding , then I bought a few shirts and accessories as much as renting another gorgeous suit for our religious ceremony back in Romania and only a few months ago I bought two suits for my sisters wedding. I wish all the shops would offer the same level of quality and the staff would be as attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. Even if you bump into the shop not having any clue about what you want, the lovely ladies will give you all the help to try a vast range of quality products and you will always come out happy. On a scale from 1-10, it will have to be at least 11. I would definitely recommend it and I will return any time I need classic clothing! Eddie

Top Class suits and Top Class service

The suits at Fitzwell are some of he best around,they are great quality and very affordable! The hire prices are excellent as are the purchase prices! The service you receive from fitting to returning is the best Ive ever experienced, I will return to this shop every time I need a suit!! 10/10

Hi this is the new team at FitzWell Barnstaple. We very so very sorry to come across this website and see the dissapointment experienced by the gentleman in the review left on 23/07/12. He has obviously been very let down and it is such a shame we were unable to help him and resolve the situation to his satisfaction. we strive very very hard to provide the best possible customer service we can give and on this occassion must have got it wrong. We can only hold our hands up and say that sometimes humans make mistakes and it seems this must have happened. Our reputation is and always has been vital for a small business and we only succeed and survive by getting things right. Our apologies johnwhite22 that this did not happen. Our business has gone from strength to strength especially through the last 18 months of this recession and we have both local customers and those from away who come back to us time and time again because they love what we sell and value the personal service they receive. The new team here do not deal with wedding hire wear as Dawe and Co provide this service locally but our store does stock quality suits like Wellington, Douglas and the newer slim fit Remus Uomo which has gone from strength to strength. We do hire dinner suits for evening functions and cruises . We have to click on the stars to be able to leave a review so because we got it wrong for this gent we can only tick one but we hope our customers who visit us daily and come back every time they visit Barnstaple will realise we are a small business who love what we do, really care about our customers and strive to provide an excellent, reliable and trusted service. What A Total Load Of Rubbish !

These So Called reviews where written by the staff of Daymans (AKA Fitz Badly)... you will notice from the above in both statements are the same I went here to get an Idea for wedding out fits only to be surprised I was able to hire suits from them not just buy. Don`t get done.... get domm`ed (domminic Littlewood that is... the staff have no tailoring training what so ever, and know nothing about mens suits, I would insist that anyone not go there, purely on my own experience, the suit I bought there was tailored wrong did`nt fit, they would`nt do anything about it, so there I am on my wedding day wanting to get married in my tailored suit, that was well overpriced anyway and it looked terrible.... I ended up going to Tesco to buy a cheap suit that looked so much better, stay clear and avoid this place at your own peril

you can Hire!

I went here to get an Idea for wedding out fits only to be surprised I was able to hire suits from them not just buy.<br />I found the ladies in there incredibly helpful almost to helpful that they actually lost my custom simply from all there ideas they gave me on how to get my wedding outfit together much cheaper!<br />If you are looking for a quieter shop to look for smart mens wear then this is the place to go.
