Mountain Stoneworks is a small company based in Dundee.
We are the leading exponents in the use of Lithomex, a lime based stone repair material.
We colour match the Lithomex to the stone requiring repair and then tool it as it cures, to give a finish to match the surrounding stonework.
Other companies that use Lithomex will colour match it to the underlying, original colour of the stone, which then stands out from the surrounding weathered stone as a repair.
We are the only company that after shaping the Lithomex, will artificially 'weather' the repair to match the rest of the stonework, giving a satisfying finish that is almost indistinguishable to the original weathered stone.

The combination of new lime mortar pointing (to replace damaging cement) and the lithomex stone repair has transformed the appearance of the house. It's not possible to distinguish between the lithomex repaired stone and the original stonework.
