Nepal is the country known as the birth place of Buddha, and country of highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest and great brave Gurkha soldiers. Nepalese cuisine has a unique combination of food from the tropical low lands to the cold Himalayan geography alone has played a major role in the eating patterns. Nepalese food is prepared using the most common spices combined with distinct Himalayan spice Timur (a cousin of Schewan pepper) and herbs called Jimbu directly imported from the Highland of Nepal. As a consequence the unique Nepalese cuisine has become one of the world’s favourites.
