About Us...

Nestled in the heart of Hadrian's Wall country, the Greenhead Hotel is the ideal base for visitors, walkers and cyclists alike, with a warm welcome being given to all. Major Roman attractions such as the Roman Army Museum, Birdoswald, Vindolanda and Housesteads are situated close by, with the AD122 bus running from Greenhead to all the attractions in the summer months.

Come and relax in our warm friendly bar and restaurant with an open fire being perfect for those cold winter nights. Homemade food is served all day with all meals being freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients. We can also cater for special dietary requirements- just have a chat a member of staff! The bar stocks a wide selection of beers, wines and local Real Ales. A free wireless connection is also available in the bar area.

The Restaurant
Our restaurant serves a splendid menu consisting of homemade, freshly prepared food all day using local produce. Special diets can be catered for and we also boast a wide and varied wine list.

The daily chef's specials board displays the current weeks selections.

If you prefer a less formal environment, the same menu is served in the bar area.

Our function room is ideal for any celebration. Whether it is for a wedding, birthday or christening, we can discuss menus and cater for your needs.

We can provide Hot or Cold Buffets or a sit-down meal, call a member of the team us to discuss your requirements or complete the form below.

The room can cope with smaller parties or is licensed for up to 180 people.
