We lost £8950 deposit from this tradesman for a block paved driveway and porcelain patio. He turned up for half a day then disappeared totally uncontactable, left a digger on our property on hire where we had to notify the hire company. When he did call about 1 month later he said he'd spent the deposit with a load of excuses about his health. Bottom line DO NOT give a deposit for any work by this tradesman.
Exercise caution when dealing with this company
Henry Jones initially came across as professional when quoting for the job. A price and date for work to commence was agreed. A 50% deposit was paid the day prior to the work commencing. The company did not start work as agreed and at the time of writing has ignored multiple requests to return my deposit. It is now 5 days later and no work has commenced and my deposit has not been returned to me. I have not recieved responses from multiple text messages, calls and emails. Reported to Trading Standards.
