Nationwide coverage. Gates and Fences UK manufactures a range of gate types with a choice of materials. From driveway gates to sliding gates, back side gates to small garden gates - all manufactured in the UK to any width or height using time served construction techniques. Choice of materials are wood (redwood pine), hardwood iroko, cedar, metal or metal framed. Need electric? We also stock and install a range of electric automation kits.
Gates and Fences UK are a Trading Standards Approved gate manufacturer, GateSafe aware and CHAS Accredited.
About us:
Gates and Fences UK are part of the Gates & Fences Group. Originally formed in 2009 we have fast become UK's largest bespoke gate manufacturers. We believe in producing all gates by hand using traditional, time served techniques to create stunning and durable gates. As members of the "Made in Britain" campaign, you can be sure that all gates offered by the Gates & Fences Group have been constructed by us here in the UK.
Our Team: Currently, we employ over 40 committed and dedicated members of staff. We work closely with South Devon College and have a range of apprenticeships including carpentry and joinery, business admin, sales and marketing. Staff roles include: General manager, yard managers, sales manager, joiners, fabricators, painters/ sprayers, sales staff, customer services, dispatch, cleaners, quality control, business admin and accounts.
Factories: Both based in Torbay, Devon and within 5 minutes drive of each other. One concentrates of all wooden products and the other with wrought iron/ metal. Sales and admin staff are split within the two sites and both are open to the public to see not only the range and quality of products but also see the manufacturing of products.
Services/ Products offered:
Wood: including driveway gates, side/ garden gates, farm/ field gates, sliding gate, 3/4 split gates, fence panels and garage doors. Produced from Redwood Pine, Iroko, or Western Red Cedar.
Wrought Iron/ Metal: including driveway gates, side/ garden gates, estate gates, sliding gate, railings and 3/4 split.
Metal Framed Gates & Railings: Mixture of both! Deep framed and infill cladded with timber. All gate types included.
Automation: Full range of kit systems such as above or below double or single swing, sliding systems and additional accessories.

A very good experience
Was initially going to purchase my side gate from a company fairly local but was not impressed with exorbitant delivery cost for coming 15 miles or for their very slow response so I looked elsewhere and found gates and fences and am so glad I did placing the order was very easy and their prompt responses are excellent I was kept informed of the progress of my order and delivery was on time and quick within 24 hours of despatch packaging of the gate was extremely good to protect the gate through transit and the quality of the gate is superb and extremely well made a follow up call was received to confirm everything was satisfactory would not hesitate to use them again in the future highly recommended well done gates and fences
Well made and good service
My customer wanted a gate and side panel. I gave him a couple of web sites to look at. He choose two gates so i sent the measurements to two companies. Gates and fences called me back same day and went thru needs on the phone. Had a detailed quote next day. Another call to change a few things and I placed the order. On arrival measurements were out but the gate and panel were well made and it was easy to alter to fit. Gate etc was expensive but u get what u pay for and it was really well made. My customer was happy. I'm about to give them another order. I never even got a reply from the other company.
Excellent company
From initially browsing the website to final delivery of my Iroko gate the service from this company has been faultless.
I was kept informed of manufacturing process and delivery, both of which were exactly as quoted.
Quality of the gate is excellent, with every joint dowelled and space left between joints on the t&g to allow for movement.
I ordered a similar Iroko gate from another company last year and the process was a nightmare, so my experience with Gates and Fences has been a pleasure.
I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
