I am a qualified counsellor with a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a British Psychological Society Approved Certificate in Third Wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am a Registered and Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Framework. I have DBS Clearance (previously called CRB checked).
I offer Person-Centred Counselling which firmly believes in the therapeutic relationship between the client and counsellor. I provide an emotionally supportive, non-judgemental and compassionate environment, where you can feel safe to talk openly about what is concerning you. Through careful listening, reflection and insight I will provide you with space to think things through and support you in exploring the different aspects of the problems you're facing, so that you can gain clarity in what is happening in your life, and heal from any past hurts.
I also have knowledge and experience of using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis and can integrate this within the counselling session if we both agree that it will be helpful.
